Bury Tango has been dancing in the area for several years now and we find that there is interest in learning this dance from people who are absolute novices or who have a background in a different dance altogether. Some have expressed a need for an intense one day introduction and this is what we are offering here. Boot Camp Tango will include three one-hour sessions offered by different teachers and this will be followed by a tea dance where you can put your new techniques into practice. In order to widen the appeal the music used will be both traditional and alternative in order to demonstrate how versatile this dance can be. The tea dance will be open to all our dancers and so this gives you a chance to dance with those who have some experience.
Sunday 23rd July – Midday on : three classes of sixty minutes duration each looking at basic technique and showing how the dance works.
workshop no 1: 12noon to 1pm – a thorough revision of walking, connection, stepping, ochos and turns.
workshop no 2: 1.20pm to 2.20pm – the step you haven’t done – the cross, entries and exits.
workshop no 3: 2.40pm to 3.40pm – combining these – the ocho cortado

Booking with a partner will save you money – if you need a partner, put a request on our Facebook page (Bury Tango Events) – this does get results.
Soft drinks, tea and nibbles will be provided for the intervals.
