Mad Dog Mcrea, from Plymouth, blend a unique mixture of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and ‘shake your ass’ music. From self-penned songs of adventure, drinking, love and life, to traditional songs of gypsies, fairies, legless pirates and black flies – Mad Dog never fail to capture their audience with their infectious songs.
With a strong dedicated fan base they are in constant demand and having played just about every festival and two-bit, jibe-arsed dive in Christendom. At the end of 2016 they supported New Model Army on their U.K. tour, gaining more and more fans, and where members of the Events Group saw them and immediately wanted them to play at the John Peel Centre.
“This is rowdy, heartfelt, room shaking, spirit-stirring music that only the dead can’t enjoy.”
Support from Park and Ride
Park and Ride are a duo from Colchester who play a wide selection of songs and instrumentals, using keyboards, electric guitar, vocals and sometimes the incredibly dulcet tones of the stylophone!
